The Law of Paradox is your law

Day Twenty-Three is an IN day, and it is the mystery day of this season. Yesterday she went out and learned to meet a person level — to equal. Today she comes back in and learns that everything level has two sides. Before a woman can understand a plus she has to understand an opposite, because you cannot add to a thing until you know what it is not.

The Adventure CEO becomes conscientious — governed by conscience, the knowing-with, the inner witness that will not let her call a thing good when she has seen otherwise. How she moves is to equate: she sets the two sides of a thing side by side and reads them against each other. And what she has to work with is opposites. That is the resource of this day, and it is the perfection of it. Not one clean answer — two sides she is permitted to compare.

This is the first work of recognising truth. She is not yet deciding; she is seeing. Every stick has two ends. Every coin has a face you can flip. The conscientious woman looks at both before she speaks, and that alone will save years.

The Architect becomes careful — and careful here is the old and full sense of the word: watchful, full of care, keeping guard. She keeps watch over what she is and over what she is becoming, and she keeps watch on the other side of the coin too, because whatever she does not guard will grow up as her opposite.

What she does now is more than equate: she educates — ex ducere, to draw out and to lead out. She leads the truth out of the two sides. This is where right and wrong become visible, and truth and error become tellable apart. Equating shows her that there are two; educating draws out which is which.

And what she is, in the Architect place, is the opposite. One side of the coin, singular, hers — the one she guards and keeps whole.

In the Sovereign she becomes complete — nothing missing, both sides accounted for, the whole thing in hand. What she does is exact: she draws out from, she demands and takes the precise measure, she requires the exact thing from the material she has read. Educate leads it out; exact takes it out with nothing lost.

And what she increases are omegas — the last things, the ends, the finished side of every matter she began. A woman who can hold opposites can carry a thing all the way to its omega, because she is no longer afraid of the other end. Conscientious, then careful, then complete: she recognises truth, tells it from error, and takes the exact thing out of it.
