Ledger

The Sign Ledger

Write three omens from this week — small signals, not events — and what each one is pointing at.

The omen comes before the outcome. Written down, signs stop being feelings and start being data.

Instrument

List what you have to work with today — people, hours, money, rooms — and put a true value beside each.

Esteem is the beginning of value. You cannot steer with resources you have never priced.

Practice

Take one decision and look at it from three sides before you speak: yours, theirs, and the one nobody has said out loud.

Iolite is violet from here and grey from there. Circumspective means turning the stone.

Table

Sit for ten minutes with no input and simply describe what is in front of you — plainly, without solving it.

To see is most of being a seer. Most signs are unread, not hidden.

Instrument

Write the aim, then the standard you will measure it by, then the number. All three on one page.

Evaluate means solve the expression. A judgement with no standard is a mood.

Word

Name five good things you will not do this quarter. Date it and keep it where you can see it.

Eschew is the master word. Keeping to point is mostly a list of what you declined.

Ledger

For your next big move, hold three live routes open instead of one, and write what keeps each alive.

Options come after the omen and the oracle. Read the signs and you gain roads; miss them and the storm picks for you.
