The Law of Point

Jewel of the day · Iolite. C is who she is. E is how she works. O is what she holds and increases.

Spoken on this day

Day Twenty-One opens Intuitiveness — the beginning of consideration, and consideration is the beginning of Wisdom. In the Intellect we learned logic: how a thing follows a thing. Here we learn something older. Logic tells you whether the road is sound. Point tells you which way the ship is aimed.

The Adventure CEO becomes considerate — and this is not merely kindness. It is being full of thought. To consider is con sidere, with the stars: the old navigators studied the sky before they moved. How she moves is to esteem, which is the beginning of value — to gauge, weigh and price what she has to work with before she spends it.

And what she holds is not options yet. It is the omen: the sign. This is the alchemist — the world speaking in signs to the woman who is paying attention.

The Architect becomes circumspective — watchful, looking around her. Esteem matures into evaluate: she does not only sense the worth, she works out the equation. What she becomes is an oracle, a seer — and to see is enough. Most signs are not hidden; they are simply unread by women in a hurry.

Only in the Sovereign, the Queen and King place, does she become circumspect — and the mastery in it is the no. Considerate, then circumspective, then circumspect: a woman who keeps to point because she has decided what she will not do. One wrong ingredient ruins the recipe; salt in the sugar, a nail in the shoe. Eschewing is a master character.

And then — only then — come options. After the omen, after the oracle, she has more to choose from, not less. Read the signs and you keep the point. Miss the signs and the storm chooses your direction for you.
