Tools of perpetuality — an OUT day, and the turn of the whole wheel. Procurement brought it in; today it goes out over the top and becomes the floor of the next layer. Every tool here closes one sphere and sets out on the next.

Write what this thirty days built, in one page, and end it with the words: this layer is finished. Date it and file it.
Nothing new can be laid over a layer you have not admitted is done. Concentric means the old sphere stays inside.
Two columns. Left: what must never have a gap — character, prayer, integrity. Right: what returns in cycles — launches, seasons, rest. Sort your life into them.
Continuous has no interval; continual recurs with intervals. Sorting these two stops you calling a rhythm a failure.
List what came at you this month uninvited — the onsets. Beside each, write how you handled it and what it became.
The novice's raw material is beginnings that arrive. A pearl starts as something that got in and could not be expelled.
Now list the departures you chose — every ship you boarded on purpose. Add the next one, with a date.
Onsets happen to you; outsets are yours. What she increases are outsets, plural.
Name the vessel for the next thirty days — one enterprise, one house, one body of work — and take the single first step this week.
Embark is plain: you get on the ship. Every layer needs a fresh boarding; the ladder has another rung on it every time you look.
Choose one finished thing you are still living inside — a room, a role, a title, an old offer — and walk out of it this week, leaving the door usable.
Egress is lawful exit, not escape. You cannot lay a layer over a house you refuse to step out of.
List where you are out of date — prices, skills, tools, teaching, wardrobe, systems — and bring one line current this week.
Current is a flowing word and a now word at once: in the stream, and up to date within it.
Draw the spheres: Layer One as it was, Layer Two as it is, Layer Three as it will be. Write the one thing at the centre that never changes.
Perpetuality is repetition around a centre that does not move. Every coat of nacre keeps the same nucleus.
Turn back to Day One tomorrow and run the thirty days again — same laws, higher rung. Note beside each day what you now know that you did not last time.
Thirty days do not finish a woman; they finish a layer. Then it starts over, perfecting.
