Tools of the purview — an OUT day. Attention leaves you today and lands on something specific. Every tool here moves you from conscious to cognitive to cognizant, widening the line of sight and, at the same time, the observances you keep.

Draw one line down a page. Left: what is genuinely inside your purview — what you can see and are answerable for. Right: what is not.
A purview is sight and scope in one word. Anything on the right side gets no more of your attention today.
Write three things you actually saw today — in your numbers, your household, a person's face. Seen, not assumed.
One recorded observation outweighs a week of impressions. Written sight becomes evidence.
Take one thing you have been glancing at — a bill, a page, a habit, a relationship — and examine it for fifteen minutes without deciding anything.
To examine is to inspect and test. Judgement comes after looking, never instead of it.
Three columns: what I saw · what it means · what it connects to. Run your three observations through it.
Cognitive is knowing, not only seeing. Meaning is built by connecting one seen thing to another.
Teach one person one thing you examined this week — in sixty seconds, out loud or in writing.
To educate is to lead out. A purview kept private is a purview wasted.
For ten minutes today, be only the observer: no fixing, no commenting, no phone. Then write what a witness would report.
Observer is an office. The one trusted to watch is trusted because she reports what is actually there.
Name one thing you now officially know and cannot un-know. Write the date, and the one action it obliges.
To be cognizant is to have official knowledge — and to be answerable for it.
Ask one person a question designed to draw out what they already know, then stay quiet until they answer it.
To educe is to lead out. The finding was in the room before you spoke.
List the observances you keep — hours, rites, sabbath, prayers, house laws, honoured days — and mark the one you will restore this week.
Observations are line of sight; observances are what she keeps. A sovereign purview grows in both directions.
