The stone read as the word

The star in this stone is not painted on. It is light reflecting off needles aligned inside, and it always sits over the dome's centre — move the stone and the star moves with it, never off-axis. Centre is not a location; it is a relationship to the light.

It has to be cut with the axis exactly upright or the star sits crooked forever. Alignment is the whole job.
