The Law of Priority

Jewel of the day · Carnelian. C is who she is. E is how she works. O is what she holds and increases.

Spoken on this day

Day Twenty-Eight is the Law of Priority. Priority: from prior — that which comes before. Not what matters most in theory, but what actually goes first when both cannot. A priority is only proven by what is put down.

It follows Perfecting because order can only be given to made things. Day Twenty-Seven brought the work to plumb. Day Twenty-Eight decides which plumb thing goes first — and it is an OUT day, so the decision leaves her and lands in the world where others can see it.

The Adventure CEO becomes committed. This is the very first step, and it is smaller than women think: a commitment is made to an objective, not to an object. What she does with it is engage — she comes into contact with the thing, she works on it, she is in the gear. You do NOT embrace here. Embracing at this stage is romance without a record.

The Architect becomes convicted. Only in the convicted category do you embrace — embrace with the definitions, knowing exactly what the thing is and what it costs. Business teaches this plainly: people embrace your product when they are convicted about it, not when they are merely interested. And here she learns the hard sentence of this law — she is the object. Not other people. She already holds the objective in vision and in envisage; what she brings to it is herself.

In the Sovereign she becomes converted. Converted is more than committed and more than convicted: it is changed. Turned around. She does not maintain a stance, she embodies the thing — it is in her body, her calendar, her money, her rooms. And what she holds now are objectives, plural: many firsts, ordered, each with an object she is willing to be.

So committed becomes convicted becomes converted. She engages, she embraces, she embodies. Objective becomes object becomes objectives. Being converted is what lets her finally see what she was committed to — and she had better have a conviction in between, or the commitment was only a mood.

The Novice · She makes a thing profitable

She becomes committed — the very first step, and it is made to an objective, not to an object. What she does is engage: contact, gear, work. She does not embrace yet. Embracing without conviction is a mood.
