The Workshop · Day 18

Tools for The Law of Positivity

Tools of the bright blade — an OUT day. The seventeenth drew the outlook in; today you spend it out loud, and positivity is worked as a law rather than waited on as a mood.

Instrument

The White Sword

One line written each morning: the good outcome you are expecting today, stated as already coming.

To expect is to move the thing forward. You carry the blade of light into the room before the room earns it.

Practice

The Enthuse Call

Pick one person and put real spirit into their plan today — one sentence they can feel, not politeness.

Enthuse is en theos, spirit in. Cheer becomes contagious the moment it is spent on somebody else.

Ledger

The Cheer Ledger

Two lines each evening: where you were cheerful on purpose, and where the day turned you flat.

Cheerful becomes cheery by repetition. The ledger shows which rooms are draining the light.

Table

The Companion Card

Four rows — friends, yourself, God, the King. Beside each, one act of true companionship this week.

Companionate is the mastery: not doing things cheerfully, but being a perfect companion in the ordinary hours.

Practice

The Optimum Change

Before leaving any room, name what would make it the optimum for everyone in it and change one thing.

Optimums are plural and manufactured. The Queen stops hoping for good conditions and starts arranging the best ones.

Instrument

The Enliven Pass

Choose one dead thing — a plan, a table, a room, a relationship — and give it life today.

Enliven is the master word. What was enthused is brought fully alive; that is the sword in the Queen's hand.

Word

The Word Study

Cheerful · Expect · Optimism — through Cheery · Enthuse · Optimist into Companionate · Enliven · Optimums.

Study the words and you can wield them.
