The stone read as the word

As quartz grew, it closed around a pocket of the water it grew in and never let it out. Tilt the stone and the bubble travels. The water may be millions of years old; the crystal made a chamber for it and kept it.

Capacious does not mean large. It means having room — a mind or a house able to receive and hold something, alive, without crushing it.
