The stone read as the word
Sodalite is the stone that looks like a page being worked on: dark blue ground, white lines running through it where later fluid rewrote the rock. Cognition is that — a mind with visible corrections in it.
It also has a hidden second answer. Under ultraviolet light many sodalites glow orange, a colour nothing in the daylight stone predicts. Thinking is like that; the second reading is not on the surface.
What it is carried for
- Carried for study, structure and long thinking.
- Held when the work is to reason rather than to react.
