The stone read as the word
Bloodstone was the seal stone of commanders — carved for signet rings because it took a deep engraving and did not chip. The authority of the ring was the authority of the stone: what it pressed into wax was law.
It is dark green with red in it, and it was never a decorative gem. It was worn by people whose word moved other people. Command is a working stone, not a pretty one.
What it is carried for
- Carried when a decision must be issued, not discussed.
- Held for the courage inside the order.
