The stone read as the word

Turquoise never forms alone. It grows in cracks of another rock, and the finest stones keep that host visible as a web of fine dark lines. The matrix is not damage; it is the record of what it grew attached to.

It is also the most traded stone in history — Persia to Tibet, Egypt to the American Southwest — a gem that mostly travelled as a gift between people. It has always been a relationship stone.

What it is carried for

  • Carried for the people she is joined to.
  • Held when a connection needs to be made rather than waited for.
