The stone read as the word

Aquamarine was the stone sailors carried for safe passage, and it is cut in long clean step cuts because the material rarely fights back — it is unusually free of inclusion. Cool is the temperature of a mind with nothing trapped in it.

Its colour deepens with iron and steadies with gentle heat. Coolness is not coldness; it is heat that has been settled.
