The stone read as the word
Tourmaline is one of the few gems that becomes electrically polarised when it is warmed; Dutch traders once used it to pull ash out of pipes. A stone that responds to warmth by generating charge is a fair picture of companionship.
Rubellite is the pink to red variety, and it grows in long striated columns that look bundled together rather than solitary. Company, in this stone, is structural.
What it is carried for
- Carried for friendship that produces something, not just proximity.
- Held when a woman's warmth is meant to charge the room.
